Eggs are collected, carefully reburied in temperature controlled sand, and then released once the young are robust enough to fend for themselves. This strategy is labour intensive, but it offers a measurable boost to survival rates that natural predation would otherwise erase. The long term goal, however, remains preserving the wild riverbanks where crocodile lay eggs, so these interventions become less necessary over time.
